Hey, is this thermostat available on the open market? I'm not quite ready to move to Illinois, fine state though it be.
That's a good question. After a quick online search, I was unable to find one on sale directly to consumers (just through utility partnerships). However, I have also written about a similar smart thermostat from ecobee.
I wrote a some thoughts here.

If you're an Ameren customer, I would highly suggest getting the E-Smart Thermosat. It has received great reviews from customers and (best of all) its free.
